TSR Jowan along with OC Rathindra Debbarma of Takarjala Police Station rushed to the spot after receiving the information from local. The dead body was recovered and taken to Takarjala Primary Health Centre.

After postmortem, the body will be handed over to the family.

In connection with the incident, it is known that a person named Krishna Shil of Golaghati area died. Anil Chandra Dhar's son Rana Dhar took part in Krishna Shil's last rites along with local people but Rana did not return home.

Today, locals saw his dead body was floating on the water next to the sand-lifting machine in Golaghati Burima river. The information was given to Takarjala police station. Takarjala police station OC Rathindra Debbarma rushed to the spot after receiving the information.

Locals identified the deceased and informed his family.

Many believe he fell to his death from over-intoxication.

Police have started investigating whether there is any other mystery behind this death.
