Agartala, February 4 (TIWN): At the time while almost all the political parties are gearing up for the upcoming TTAADC election in full swing, a section of the leaders of main opposition party of Tripura- Congress are reportedly busy in internal war with no election strategy.

“Present internal condition of the party is not pleasing so far”, said newly elected president of Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC)- Birajit Sinha.

“The congress party in Tripura has faced serious downfall in the bygone Lok-Sabha and Assembly elections. After taking the charges as TPCC president, initially I am trying to overcome the disappointment among the party leaders and workers”, Birjit said.

"My primary duty is to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level and bring back the Congress leaders who left Congress and joined other parties in past two years. My efforts will be to unite Congress to defeat CPI-M in Tripura," Sinha said.

Asked about the preparation for ensuing TTAADC election, “Though, no party strategy has been made so far, to hit the best, the Congress party will initiate a massive campaign in the ADC areas very soon”, said TPCC president.

However, the Congress workers would be imparted training properly so that they could reach to the people in grass root level, said a party source. The source further said that the TPCC’s leadership was changed to boost the party organization and work against the misgovernance of the Left Front government.
