BELONIA (South Tripura), Aug 2 (TIWN): Due to excessive raining, normal lives have been heavily disrupted in various parts of the state. It has been raining heavily for two days today. And as a result of this heavy rain, people's lives have been disrupted. Agricultural land, people's houses and roads were extensively damaged.
In Belonia sub-division of South Tripura district hundreds of families are suffering now as their houses are affected due to heavy raining.
The house of Ratan Lal Das, a resident of North Kalabaria area under East Kalabaria village panchayat of Bilonia sub-division, suffered extensive damage due to a landslide from a hill high above the house.
The affected helpless family has now appealed for government help.
Apart from this, there have been reports of landslides and damage to people's houses due to falling trees in various panchayat areas of the subdivision.
Traffic was stuck for about one and a half hours after a big collapse on the road in front of the Choygaria in the Belonia subdivision.
