Indo-Bangladesh DM-DC level meet ends with fruitful measures: Next meeting to be held in Bangladesh

AGARTALA, February 4 (TIWN): The Indo-Bangla DM DC level meet ended with fruitful initiatives and future prospects. However, discussion and agreement on some major issues including crime, narcotics, Border Haat, construction of border pillar are signed between the delegations of both sides. The next DM DC level meeting will be held after six months in Bangladesh.Briefing about the scenario of the friendly talks, it is informed that the meeting centered around the developmental issues as well as to overcome the threats which emerges as the barrier between the friendships of these two neighboring countries.Reminding the role of Tripura and India in the freedom struggle of Bangladesh in 1971, Deputy Commissioner of Moulavi Bazar, Mohammed Kamrul Hasan told that ,”if India and Tripura had not extend their helping hand during the time of liberation war, it wouldn't have been possible for Bangladesh to fight with the freedom struggle.”Among other important issues, stress has been laid on the frequent clash between BSF and BGB and both sides admited that further discussions will be taken up in DM-DC level meetings.Whereas the flag meetings between BSF, BGB will also be arranged. Other than that in case of arrest of the citizens of one country in another, the matter will also be discussed by DM-DC level meeting. Earlier the whole situation only prevails in the hands of BSF and BGB.

25 member Bangladesh delegation, including Police Super, officials of BGB, Deputy Secretary of Home Ministry, Cabinet Division member, member of Foreign Ministry, Joint Commissioner of Custom and Excise, Comilla, Deputy Director of Drug Control Department, Deputy Commissioner of BrahmanBariya Dr. Mohammed Musauf Hussein, Deputy Commissioner of Rangamati Hill, Mohammed Samsul Arfin and Deputy Commissioner of Habiganj, Mohammed Jonailahuddin,heade by Deputy Commissioner of Moulavi Bazar, Mohammed Kamrul Hasan  will return to Bangladesh today.
