AGARTALA, July 22 (TIWN): CPI-M, Congress leaders were stopped being entering Gandachera which has been violence affected. On Monday, Opposition Leader Jitendra Chowdhury was forced to return the mid-way after DM cancelled the permission. Ironically, recently ruling BJP and its ally Tipra Motha party leaders were allowed to enter Gandahera amid a tight law and order situation.

Condemning the police role, Opposition Leader Jitendra Chowdhury said, they are forced to return because they do not want any chaos in the area.

On the other hand, Congress leaders also could not visit Gandachera after suddenly police permission was cancelled. On being prevented from entering the violence affected areas in Gandachera, Congress MLA Sudip Barman said it was a politically influenced and pressurized decision.
