AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has ordered a probe into Bodhjungnagar school students' mass food poisoning incident. The chief minister rushed to the GB hospital where the students were admitted after they complained sickness. After inquiring about the students' health Dr. Saha said, "Most of the students are now stable and out of risk. One student is suffering from fever, I have asked the medical team and the administration to take all the necessary action which need to be taken. One of the students studies in Maharani Tulsibati school whereas the others are enrolled in Budhjung Girls' H.S. school."
Maharaja Bir Bikram Welfare Society hostel students had daal and rice in the morning and reached school on time but soon after reaching the school, students at a large number started suffering from extreme stomach ache. They were rushed to the GB hospital and many remained seriously ill.
Talking to media, Bodhjungnagar school teachers and students have mentioned about the hostel food and doctor suspected might be due to something related to food the mass-food poisoning occurred.
CM has appreciated the role of National Health Mission for immediately arranging four ambulance to bring the students immediately to the hospital.
