AGARTALA, June 17 (TIWN): Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mayor Dipak Majumder is scheduled to take oath as the legislator of Tripura Assembly on June 19.

Dipak Majumder won in the recently held by-poll at Ramnagar constituency, defeating opposition INDIA candidate Ratan Das.

The by-poll was necessitated after the sitting BJP MLA Surajit Datta passed away.

The election was held on April 19 and the result was declared on June 4 when the Lok Sabha result was also declared on the same day.
