Agartala, February 2 (TIWN): Tourism of Tripura is gradually losing its glory due to the lack of infrastructure and maintenance. State Government, though claims that there are basic infrastructure in the various tourist places. But the truth says another picture. As comparison to other Major States, Tripura conquers the position of some best archaeological sites. But the recent scenario has distracted foreign tourists to visit this small beautiful hilly State of NE region.

For example, the historical tourist spot which is popularly known as Unakoti is rapidly losing its glory due to the apathy and negligence of government towards its maintenance and preservation.

According to sources, few days back a sculpture from a hill of Unakoti broke and fallen down to the pathway.

The condition of the stairs of Unakoti is in very poor condition as a result several times tourists slipped from the stairs. Most of the stairways are so slippery during rainy season that people had to sit and step-down carefully to avoid fatal accidents. The famous tourist spot which is popularly known as Jampui hill, is rapidly losing its glory due to the apathy and negligence of government towards its maintenance and preservation. There was a time; orange of Jampui hill would make different identity in a lot of many and, products also faces comparatively higher prices than that of others.

Most of the tourist spots which are rapidly losing its glory due to the apathy and negligence of government towards its maintenance and preservation. 5 Km away from Udaipur and some 45 Km away from Agartala, Tepania Echo Park situated in Tepania Gram Panchayat under Radhakishorepur PS is popularly known for its charming ambience of natural beauty.

But today the Eco Park has deprived the visitors with its bad condition inside, where the hanging bridge was seen broken and the tree forts remained in a bad condition.

Most of the visitors at the park expressed their displeasure over the bad condition of the park and urged the state govt. to take a proper care of it. Beside the beautiful rock cut carvings and stone images at Chobimura at Amarpur has lost its glory with the trees and jungles all around covered the sculptures on the body of the rock.

Chobimura, is a Place where a water area with green hills and pictures of gods in the hills. But today this has lost its fervor and beauties. No boats can be found available for the transportation of the visitors through a water way. And a section of tribal people at the area are earning their daily livelihood carrying visitors through their own hand made boat, and feeding them with handmade dishes. Chobimura lacks the basic infrastructures with a proper sanitation inside and rest house for the visitors.

Now talking about Sepahijala, Wild life sanctuary, the most attractive tourist spots is losing its glory rapidly. Now this attractive tourist spots becomes the home of the antisocial. Besides the lack of infrastructure also emerges an s a major point in reducing glory. This results in the less attraction of the tourists.  The environment around the Sepahijala is decorating day by day, Because of the lack of infrastructure; the Wild life sanctuary is losing its glory day by day. Repairing work is pending. The environment centers round the sanctuary is purely becomes unhygienic. The dead skeleton of the animals are scattering here and there which stopped the tourists from entering to the wonderful scenery of the nature. On the other hand the food provided to the animals is not up to the standard. That’s why the condition of the animals living here becomes weak and in the recent days many of them had lost their lives because of poor quality of foods.

The State government on the other part busy in unimportant issues and inauguration spree. Frpm morning to evening Ministers and officials are busy in inauguration ceremonies, ribbon-cutting, blood donation camps, politcal party meetings so, very less time is left for planning and development.
