AGARTALA, June 8 (TIWN): Around 150 linemen and helpers are working under Vision Plus, a subsidiary of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited.
When they joined the work they were informed that their salary will be increased every year.
But, after almost three to three and a half years, their salary has not been increased by one rupee. Besides, they are being given 12 hours duty instead of eight hours.
Salary is also being paid as a minimum of 10 thousand 500 rupees to linemen and 7700 rupees to helpers.
As a result, workers of each sub-division were forced to demonstrate in front of the power department today and said that they would continue their agitation until their demands were met.
