AGARTALA / SABROOM, May 23 (TIWN): One person died on spot after a TATA Magic turned over national highway near Nature’s Park, Kalachara, in Sabroom subdivision.
The deceased identified as Rajit Tripura (42) and ten more remain injured.
The TATA-Magic bearing number TR08C 1608 was coming towards Betaga in Manughat. Losing control of driving, the driver turned over the vehicle. The vehicle lost control after a tipper car suddenly came in front of it.
After the accident, the Tipper car driver managed to escape from the spot.
Eyewitnesses informed Fire Brigade immediately after the accident. Fire Brigade team rushed the injured persons to hospital. After checking doctor declared Rajit Tripura dead.
Another injured person have remained very critical. Nine other are either undergoing treatment at hospital or sent to home after primary treatment.
Police lodged a case in this incident but could not arrest anyone so far.
