The incident happened in Pratapgarh on May 20, when like everyday Sukhen Das was busy with his daily livelihood in his small tea stall.

Dipankar Sarkar, recently bought tea from Sukhen Das’s shop and said, he will give him money later. Amid the due was not cleared, Dipankar Sarkar on next day once again asked for tea without money.

Sukhen Das refused to give him tea further unless he clears the previous bill. Out of anger, Dipaknar Sarkar beat up Sukhen Das and pushed him hard which left Sukhen Das injured critically. During treatment, Sukhen Das died at GB hospital.

Police have arrested Dipankar Sarkar. Police said, Dipankar takes marijuana and often is found in intoxicated condition.
