AGARTALA, May 21 (TIWN): Alleging CAA would push the indigenous people towards more marginalized and microscopic, Tripura Congress placed a deputation to Chief Secretary.

“Some political party leaders are claiming that CAA would not be implemented ever in tribal autonomous areas but how can they guarantee ? Is there any written assurance about it?” said a Congress leader.

“As per Tripura’s population, the indigenous people are sharing a very narrow percentage of it. Now, if the CAA is implemented then the number will be more narrowed down,” the Congress leader said.
