AGARTALA, May 20 (TIWN): Three Bangladeshi women were arrested by Railway police on Monday at Agartala Railway Station.
A Police official said, based on secret information, police waited for the suspected Bangladeshi, and at around 4 pm, three women were seen coming towards the Railway station with some parcels, which gave the alarm to police.
One being asked, three women first claimed that they are Indians but no valid document could be shown by them. Later after thorough investigation, the women accepted that they were Bangladeshi and entered India to go to Ahmedabad illegally.
Initially, they do not reveal who is involved in bringing them to India but police are interrogating them to dig the truth.
The arrested women have been identified as Rosina Akter, Sultana Begum, and Parul Begum. All of them planned to go to Ahmedabad by 5.20 pm train.
