AGARTALA, May 19 (TIWN): Reacting to former Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s attitude before media persons on Saturday, Opposition Leader Jitendra Chowdhury said that Ratan Lal Nath is now chased by his sins and that’s why he is behaving unusually. Hammering the Minister for his rough behaviors with media persons Jitendra Chowdhury said, Vidya Jyoti project’s outcome is one of the reasons behind his irritation due to which many students are affected, and likely in Board exam results the effect will be seen.
Ratan Lal Nath who is now the Power Minister, was holding the Education Department earlier during BJP’s first tenure and launched Vidya Jyoti project imposing hefty fines upon the students in government schools, but the schools’ results were historically down amid the Minister’s consistent claims that Vidya Jyoti would emerge as a model for other states.
After the poor academic results of students, the opposition blasted the BJP Govt for its Vidya Jyoti decision. But the Minister ventured his frustration on the media persons during BJP’s rally by publicly using inappropriate words against them. BJP organized the rally on Saturday to protest against oppositions’ various rallies and activities highlighting the government’s failure to solve various issues from health to education.
“Instead of taking attempts to solve the problems, the BJP is now protesting against opposition’s allegations. That’s the attitude of the government! It would do nothing but nobody should say anything,” said Chowdhury.
