During a protest in Agartala, CPI-M’s student wing SFI secretary Sandipan Deb said that it’s Ratan Lal Nath who initiated the Vidya Jyoti project.

“Vidya Jyoti was first invented by Minister Ratan Lal Nath when he was the Education Minister and it’s a fact that the idea came from Nath’s brain only but it failed miserably. When people are talking about all these, Ratan Lal Nath ventured his frustration on the media persons by insulting them in public,” said Deb.

SFI, TSU demanded government’s statement and action over the academic results.

“BJP spokesperson is speaking from the party headquarters but so far the government is silent,” said Sandipan Deb.
