AGARTALA, May 15 (TIWN): One month Twenty day’s child named Priti Das died after bringing to GB Hospital from Khowai in an Ambulance. Family alleged that the baby that was suffering due to shortages of breath, was kept on an oxygen mask since it was referred from Khowai to GB Hospital but the ambulance staff removed the oxygen mask after reaching GB Hospital even before getting a second oxygen mask from the hospital. That led the baby to die without oxygen, alleged the family.
Priti’s father said the baby was taken to Khowai Hospital after observing breathing issues. From Khowai Hospital the baby was referred to Agartala GB Hospital by Ambulance for better treatment, but the baby died after being brought to GB Hospital. The family alleged that the baby died after the Ambulance staff removed Oxygen from the baby while the parents arranged medical formalities in the Hospital.
The family alleged if the Oxygen was not removed then the baby would have survived.
