AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): In the sensational murder case of Bharat Ratna Club secretary Durga Prasanna Deb, one of the accused persons Susmita Sarkar is allegedly not cooperating with police. An advocate on Govt side said, she is not revealing who attended April 28 meeting. It has been also known that she exchanged over 200 phone calls in last 2 months with Pradyot Dhar Chowdhury and the purpose of it remains unfolded.Today police produced Pradyot Dhar Chowdhury seeking 6 days police remand and sought 8 days police remand for Susmita Sarkar.
Now, police are navigating hard to find all others involved in the case.
The main accused shooter Akash Kar was arrested from outside the state and brought to Agartala via flight. Earlier police arrested Pradyot Dhar, Susmita Sarkar, and Bir Chakra Ghosh. Police are now looking for more accused persons’ trace who are under suspicion in this murder case.
The incident occurred April 301st evening at around 8 O’Clock after an unknown person covering his face shot Vicky. Vicky was rushed to the hospital but the Doctor declared him dead. Family members accused Raju Barman, Biman Das, and three more persons behind the murder case.
Family alleged, that after Durga Prasad Deb became the secretary, out of jealousy, he was murdered.
Vicky’s driver said, a person covering face with black clothes came near to the car and knocked the car glass. As soon as Vicky opened the car's glass, the unknown man shot him from a close distance. Today, the main shooter, as suspected by police Akash Kar was arrested by police.
