AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): In the sensational murder case of Bharat Ratna Club’s secretary Durga Prasanna Deb alias Vicky on Tuesday night, Airport police arrested Pradyot Dhar on Wednesday. Arrested Pradyot Dhar was brought to the West Agartala Police Station. Police are thoroughly interrogating him and investigation is underway. Police are now looking for more accused persons’ trace who are under suspicion in this murder case. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening at around 8 O’Clock after unknown people shot Vicky. Vicky was rushed to the hospital but Doctor declared him dead.

Family members accused Raju Barman, Biman Das, and three more persons behind the murder case.

Family alleged, after Durga Prasad Deb became the secretary, out of jealousy, he was murdered.

Talking to SP West Kiran Kumar, he said, “Vicky came to Salbagan area and unknown people shot him. Three bullets injured him and before he could be taken to hospital for treatment, he died. Right now, investigation is underway. Vicky’s driver said, a person covering face with black clothes came near to the car and knocked the car glass. As soon as Vicky opened the car's glass, the unknown man shot him from a close distance.”
