BISHALGARH / CHARILAM, April 13 (TIWN): Acting on a tip-off, the forest department personnel recovered a large amount of illegal stolen woods in a vehicle, and two illegal tree logs, a bike from Gokulnagar, Rastar Matha area at 3:30 pm on Saturday.
BSF Jawan Jatrapur and Melaghar office personnel of the forest department led by District Forest Officer Sumit Dev conducted a raid in the Gokulnagar’s Rastar Matha area based on secret information.
During the raid, two illegal tree logs were recovered from an unnumbered commander vehicle and a four-wheeler Tata Magic vehicle bearing TR07B1702 along with illegally stored equipment.
The criminals managed to flee from the spot.
Later, police brought seized items to Charilam Forest Department office. District Forest Department started an investigation and trying to arrest the accused involved in the incident.
