BISHALGARH / AGARTALA, March 31 (TIWN): A devastating storm left over 70 families in huge distress with heavy losses caused by the environmental disaster in the state. The public across the state are suffering due to the sudden storm, that caused deaths, collapse of trees, houses. Covering the Kamarsagar area and Gokulnagar under the Bishalgarh subdivision, many families have been affected and suffering after the storm. Few families took shelter in safe areas temporarily. On Sunday morning the storm hit various parts of the state causing massive devastations. Farmers across the state are facing losses due to crop damage.
In Lembutali, Dhanchari area of Gokulnagar maximum families were affected by storm.
A local while briefing the situation during a storm, said, “My wife with our baby was standing near the door when the roof collapsed and the wind blew a portion of the room. I asked her to go under the bed with the baby so that they can at least survive.”
Many locals like him were in tears while briefing the horrifying experience during the storm.
Govt officials visited the area and measured the losses. They assured sufficient govt help will be provided to them.
