The incident has triggered allegations of political intention.

A senior citizen said that initially, they found some bottles were thrown in front of their main door and noises were coming out. As soon as they opened the door, some miscreants attacked them.

“We were at dinner when we heard the noise of some bottles being thrown. We went out to check and then they attacked my husband,” said the housewife.

She named Amit of Durga Bari area was with the miscreants.
