AGARTALA, March 23 (TIWN): Addressing the BJP’s Yuva Morcha rally in Agartala, chief minister Dr Manik Saha said, Tripura has shown how to conduct a 100% peaceful election in 2023. “Without any disturbance, without any violence, how to organize a peaceful poll, we have shown it in 2023 poll. In Tripura’s history no such violence free election could be demonstrated,” said CM at the BJP’s youth rally. Taking a dig at CPI-M, Congress’s alliance, CM said, “The Congress and CPI-M are now openly aligned, whereas earlier, Congress for 25 years of Communist rule, used to confuse people that they are coming to power. In last Assembly poll also, they confused people with alliance that they are coming to power jointly but what have we seen, BJP was once again won by the people with massive votes by the voters amid a peaceful poll,” CM said.

“After the Assembly poll, Boxanagar and Dhanpur also BJP won. People said, these are minority areas and BJP can’t make its grasp there but we won. Public made us winner, but PM Modi’s Sab-Ka-Sath, Sab-Ka-Vikas policy led BJP to win by 30,000 votes in Boxanagar and in Dhanpur, we won by 18,000 votes,” said Saha.

CM continued to preach about peace, saying, “All such wins could be possible because we do not believe in violence. We established peace and defeated the oppositions’s policy of catching fish in murky water.”
