AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): The statehood demand committee has declared candidates for West and East Tripura constituencies.

Slamming Tipra Motha party for aligning with BJP, the committee said, “We are not blind and uneducated. We can not see any mention of Greater Tipraland in the tripartite deal. Where is so-called No-Compromise dialogue  ?”

“Earlier also, when we criticized N.C.Debbarma for cheating the people, the public did not trust us. This time, we would not say anything about Tipra Motha but the public will know the truth,” he said.

The candidates declared by the committee are --- Bishu Kumar Debbarma from West Tripura and Krishna Mohan Jamatia from East Tripura. Krishna Mohan is an ex-MDC.

The Statehood Demand committee said the aim is only statehood.
