CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury, Congress State President Asish Saha also chaired the meeting.

Other political parties like CPI, CPIM(L), Forward Bloc were present in the meeting.

The Left and the Congress have aligned in the Lok Sabha election 2024 to fight against BJP.

Congress has nominated Asish Saha as the West Tripura candidate and CPI-M named Rajendra Tripura for East Tripura.

Another additional by-poll will be conducted during the Lok Sabha election and CPI-M nominated Ratan Das as the candidate after discussing with other aligned parties.

On the other hand, BJP has aligned with Tipra Motha and continued alliance with the IPFT.
