AGARTALA, March 18 (TIWN): Governor of Tripura Indra Sena Reddy Nallu visited State Agriculture Research Station (SARS) at A.D. Nagar on Monday, held talks to the officials.
The Governor visited the fields physically to inspect the practical developments and the exact conditions after the establishment of the research center.
Talking to the media, the Governor laid importance on the agriculture of any state, saying, that unless someone works for the development of the agriculture sectors, the development of a region or this country is never possible. Governor said, that without it development would be at a standstill.
“In Tripura also, to develop the agriculture sector, the research center has been installed. For the last 70 years seed distribution works have been going on all over India. To support the farmers, the basic seeds are brought and then the seeds are developed in the research center. Then the seeds are distributed among the public,” said the Governor.
“Government is working well in this sector. I have advised about new research in this sector. Hoping more developments will come,” added the Governor.
