AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): Opposition party CPI-M’s Ram Nagar constituency candidate Ratan Das came before media with his first reaction after he was nominated by his party as the Ramnagar constituency candidate on Sunday. Talking to media, Das said, “I will fight the election because my party has given me the responsibility. I would have liability before the public and to save people’s constitutional right, I would raise the voice. As opposition, when the state is now reeling through crisis, development is halted, people’s problems must be raised in the assembly.”
“Work, food crisis, unemployment issues are the biggest issues now. So I would talk for people’s demand. Massive corruption is going on in the name of Governance. The democracy itself needs to be restored,” added Das.
“I hope people of Ramnagar will once again vote for me. Earlier also, the people blessed me. I also appeal to the voters to vote for me. I assure, that I will work for the development of the area just like I had done previously,” said Das.
