AGARTALA, March 12 (TIWN): The Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 (CAA) which was passed by the Parliament of India on 11 December 2019, has been implemented now by Govt of India.
Reacting to Citizenship Amendment Act’s implementation, Tripura BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee said, CAA will safeguard the nation.
On being asked, whether CAA would bring any turmoil in Tripura, Bhattacharjee said, “I do not think, CAA will have any impact in Tripura.”
Various regional parties in Tripura stormed into protest in 2019 against CAA but the top leaders of those movement are now aligned with BJP politically or have joined BJP like Patal Kanya Jamatia, leaving no ground to oppose the CAA.
Illegal intruders who raise slogans against India after staying in India must not be accepted.
