AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): Tripura State Electricity Corporation has been implementing 3 (three) major projects under Asian Development Bank (ADB) funding, World Bank funding and funding from Government of India funding.

Under Asian Development Bank (ADB) funding, the upgradation of distribution including improvement of production by converting open cycle generation plants to combined cycle has been taken up.

Under the ‘World Bank Fund’ scheme, massive development is taken up for the development of power transmission network, and under the Revamped Reformed Based Result Linked Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) to improve the operational and financial viability of the existing electrical network system by reducing transmission losses and also converting the manual billing system to a smart meter system
