BAGBASSA, March 3 (TIWN): 20 Kg Ganja was seized by Bagbassa police, in North Tripura.
A total of five persons including four women were arrested in the drive.
Bagbassa PS OC-Partha Deb conducted the raid at Naka Point in the morning at around 11 o’clock.
A bus bearing number AS10C/6426 was searched by police and based on suspicion, a total of five persons were arrested.
Dharmanagar SDPO Debasish Saha said the seized items would be at least Rs. 4 lakhs.
The arrested persons are: Mina Devi (40), Sakila Devi (42), Bibha Devi (22), Puja Devi (20), Rajib Prasad (30).
They all are residents of Patna, Bihar in Mjaffar Nagar.
The arrested persons said they reached Dharmanagar with Ganja from Agartala. They were on their way to Silchar.
NDPS case has been registered against the arrested persons.
