The statement came after former chief minister Biplab Deb’s name was declared as the Lok Sabha candidate for West Tripura constituency.

“Today you have seen, how we got the support of Tipra Motha and they also agreed with that. So we have full Jana-Jati support for the vote,” said Rajib Bhattacharjee.

When asked about why Pratima Bhowmik was not given the MP seat to fight in the poll, Rajib Bhattacharjee said, there must be a good reason behind that.
