AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN): After the chaos erupted centering prohibition of Roman script uses, opposition leader Animesh Debbarma demanded printed books on Bengali and Roman script for students in TBSE schools.
He requested Govt to print these books and add them to the syllabus.
Debbarma thanked the Tripura Govt for changing its decision and allowing TBSE to continue both Roman and Bengali for uses of Kokborok examinations.
After Tripura Govt accepted Tiprasa students’ demand to allow Roman script for Kokborok languages in TBSE exams followed by Monday strike, Tipra Motha MLA, opposition leader Animesh Debbarma requested Tripura Govt to publish books with both Bengali and Roman script, so that students can study well. He also demanded that the Kokborok language must be taught at the school level so that the communication between Bengali and Tiprasa and all other communities gets stronger.
He further demanded removal of TBSE president from the post after his unpleasant remarks against Roman script.
