AGARTALA, Jan 21 (TIWN): BJP party, along with the national drive launched various activities in Tripura too centering the Ram Mandir inauguration. Those activities included Swachh Bharat Abhijan, distribution of Diya (earthen lamp), puja in temples and donations. Countdown has started for Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha here offered puja to Tripura Sundari Goddess in Udaipur, who is considered as the mother of the state Tripura and one of the holiest places in this state.
On Sunday evening, the puja was offered by CM Manik Saha in the presence of hundreds of devotees who also visited the temple as a part of their regular temple visits.
CM also cleaned the main entrance area of the temple of Goddess Tripura Sundari.
Tripura Sundari temple remains the center of attraction especially for the religious tourism sector. Earlier, BJP organized a cleanliness drive in the temple as a part of the drive in various temples.
Ram Mandir will be inaugurated tomorrow in Ayodhya of Uttar Pradesh, a long-awaited inauguration ceremony in this country since Supreme Court permitted Ram Mandir inauguration, citing Babri mosque was built in 16th century by King Bubar by destroying a Hindu temple.
