AGARTALA, Jan 8 (TIWN): Tripura Congress’s employees federation on Sunday held a protest in Agartala with 14 points of demands. Addressing the occasion, Congress State President Asish Saha said, amid rising commodity prices, the Govt is not fulfilling basic demands of the employees. “26% pending DA is just unbelievable. When everyday necessary commodity prices are soaring high, the employees have been kept in pathetic conditions with poor payments whereas before election of 2018, so many big promises were made.
The Congress president also slammed BJP Govt for not keeping its promise of regularizing all contractual and fixed-pay employees.
“Govt should stop the fixed pay system. Vacant posts mush be filled up soon to mitigate the employees’ crisis”, Saha said.
