AGARTALA, Dec 30 (TIWN): Mimi Majumder was stripped from post, after the incumbent MLA was not even given an MLA ticket for 2023 election. She was a forgotten leader, but suddenly she has made her comeback grabbing a big post in the party and to lead the entire women brigade of the party for Lok Sabha poll. Majumder has been appointed as BJP Mohila Morcha president for Tripura but it has generated resentment within the party. One of the reasons, why Mimi Majumder was never accepted by the party's major section because of her non-political background and due to her family's Leftist backing in past.

She was considered as sacked CM Biplab Deb's handpicked candidate which had generated resentment in the party after she was given tickets for Badharghat in by-election. Then after Biplab Deb's removal from post, Mimi Majumder also left without any MLA ticket and turned inactive in politics. But now she has comeback with full political glamour.

However, apart from Mimi Majumder, other new leaders have been appointed in various posts.

MLA Sushanta Deb has replaced Nabadul Banik as BJP Yuva Morcha President and Subal Bhowmik is the new BJP Vice President. 

All the newly appointed leaders have met BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee after the party officially declared these new leaders' names.
