‘Self-help group scheme is highly Politically mobilized’ : CPI-M

AGARTALA, Nov 18 (TIWN): The day Minister Ratan Lal Nath claimed that 85,000 women in Tripura have become lakh-pati with self-help groups, CPI-M said, that to get into self-help scheme benefits, a person need to be recommended by Mohila Morcha leader, or Mandal President, which is a violation of workers’ right.
CPI-M’s women's wing Nari Samiti on Saturday staged a protest at AMC Commissioner’s office demanding sufficient mandays should be provided for TUEP projects.
The agitating women's organization also demanded that the number of social beneficiaries must be increased.
