AGARTALA, Nov 18 (TIWN): CPI-M party’s various wings of the deprive section will organize Raj Bhawan Abhijan on 23rd November.
Talking to media, CPI-M MLA Sudhan Das said, on the one hand the Govt is not spending enough for the SC / ST whereas, on the other hand, SC/ST students do not get stipends when their family income is average. Das said, that both the State and the Central Govt are not at all concerned about the SC/ST rights.
Sudhan Das also criticized that when an economic reservation has been qualified up to 8 lakhs per year, in the case of SC/ST the situation is different.
The MLA said, the reserved fund for SC/ST should only be used for SC and ST.
The demands that will be placed before the President via Tripura Governor on 23rd November will also include to ‘stop privatization’ of Education system. He further criticized the BJP-led State Govt for collecting money from students in the name of the Vidya Jyoti project.
The CPI-M MLA also has demanded that BJP Govt should fill up the vacant posts under various Govt departments in the state.
