Talking to media, CPI-M MLA Sudhan Das said, on the one hand the Govt is not spending enough for the SC / ST whereas, on the other hand, SC/ST students do not get stipends when their family income is average. Das said, that both the State and the Central Govt are not at all concerned about the SC/ST rights.

Sudhan Das also criticized that when an economic reservation has been qualified up to 8 lakhs per year, in the case of SC/ST the situation is different.

The MLA said, the reserved fund for SC/ST should only be used for SC and ST.

The demands that will be placed before the President via Tripura Governor on 23^rd November will also include to ‘stop privatization’ of Education system. He further criticized the BJP-led State Govt for collecting money from students in the name of the Vidya Jyoti project.

The CPI-M MLA also has demanded that BJP Govt should fill up the vacant posts under various Govt departments in the state.
