AGARTALA, Nov 16 (TIWN): Praising the Narendra Modi Govt, Minister Ratan Lal Nath declared that as the nationwide 8 crores farmers received 18,000 crores yesterday in the 15th installment as a part of the annual Rs.6000 aid to farmers Tripura farmers also received the benefit.
Nath said total 44 crores 59 lakhs rupees were spent to benefit the 2, 22, 955 farmers in Tripura.
He also said, a total 2, 52, 132 farmers applied for the benefit but due to lapses in paperwork, some farmers could not be approved for the benefit.
Nath also said that in 2016-17 the farmers' monthly income was Rs. 6580 monthly in 2018-19 it went to 8,982.
As per the state govt’s survey in 2021-22 the farmers’ income turned Rs. 11,096 and hopefully by 2023 it will become Rs. 13,590 monthly which is more than double, claims Ratan Lal Nath.
