AGARTALA, Nov 13 (TIWN): Amid rising allegation of medical negligence, Health Director Dr. Supriyo Mallik has made an unannounced visit at IGM hospital. After observing the hospital, Mallik said due to shortage of Medical Officer, some hospitals are suffering from management crisis and same is IGM. However, he has advised the hospital authority to focus on management as the hospital has OPD and service can be provided in better way. The visit was made amid complaints of common men over the hospital services.
The Medical Officer said that the Govt is also focussing on expanding the manpower as Doctors crisis prevails in various hospitals.
He stated that 226 Doctors’ recruitment underway and also 100 medical officers’ recruitment has been approved whereas 176 nurses are only going to be recruited soon.
