AGARTALA, Sep 26 (TIWN): CPI-M state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury on Tuesday hammered Modi Govt over its promise and reality in 2023, alleging poor people are the biggest victim of the so called “Amrit Kaal”.
The CPI-M party’s unit Khet-Mazoor union has launched a protest seeking 200 days mandays for MGNREGA workers, poor people.
The protest had ended at a gathering point at Office Lane.
Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi led advertised “Amrit Kaal”, CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury raised question over various promises given by the Modi Govt before election saying “Since it has come to power, no talk about those promises are held including doubling farmers’ income to wage raise”.
Hundreds of people had joined the protest rally of CPI-M.
