AGARTALA, Sep 26 (TIWN): All India Save Education has paid tribute to Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar on Tuesday.

A program was organized in front of Ujjayanta Palace. Children also participated on the occasion.

Ishwar Chandra Bandopadhyay CIE, popularly known as Ishwar Chandra Vidya Sagar ( was an Indian educator and social reformer of the nineteenth century. His efforts to simplify and modernise Bengali prose were significant.

Also from Govt side, programs were organized in honour of the legendary figure.
