AGARTALA, Sep 26 (TIWN): Massive water crisis has hit the ‘Double Engine’ Govt’s regime across Tripura as behind the banner of developmental claims by the BJP-led State Govt, public is still deprived of basic services. In such an instance, people blocked road in Kamala Sagar-Gokul Nagar after being hit by water crisis for months. One of the agitators alleged that it’s at leats 6 months that they are suffering from water crisis but the problems never end.

“Every time, when the election period starts, the leaders visit and promise us to solve our water crisis problem but after election, our condition remains as it is and no one cares even to visit the area anymore”, said a protesting roadblocker.

“I am so old. How can I travel far to collect water? The Govt must take immediate steps to save us from this drinking water problems. We will not leave the road unless our issue is resolved”, said an old woman who also became a part of the agitation with her neighbors.
