AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): With constitutional solution and Greater Tipraland demand, ADC ruling party Tipra Motha has declared a 12 hours strike on 30th September in the ADC area. Addressing media, Pradyot Manikya stated the party does not want any communal sentiment to come out and so, the non-ADC areas have been excluded from the strike areas’ list.
“Other communities are welcome to support our demand but the demand is basically for Tiprasa and so we are not forcing the entire Tripura to observe the strike. It is very important to keep the Govt under pressure; otherwise, it won’t recognize our issue regardless of the relation between me and Home Minister Amit Shah”, added Pradyot Manikya.
Tipra Motha has been fighting for constitutional solution for the Tiprasa community. A separate state Greater Tipraland has been prioritized demand of the party. Tipra Motha is now the ruling party in Tripura ADC.
