AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): The roads have remained in deplorable condition in Sonamura after 6 years of Double Engine Govt. Talking to TIWN journalist, public expressed resentment over the situation, saying, this road has remained in deplorable shape without any sign of improvement. “Everyday we face troubles to cross the road. Our vehicles are damaged everyday. We appeal to the Govt to fix the road as we are undergoing huge troubles to cross the road. During monsoon the situation gets worse and also chances of accidents go high”, said a vehicle driver. The road near Sonamura Fire Brigade also in horrible shape. From Fire Brigade to School goers, all are the daily victims of the apathy of the Govt to the roadway issues, whereas, before the 2018 Election, BJP had promised about HIRA Govt that includes H for Highways.
On 2018, July, taxes were also increased and cess were imposed more promising excellent roadways but the reality shows no change in the road condition and no improvement of public transportation due to the potholes on the roads.
