AGARTALA, Aug 28 (TIWN): Twipra Students Federation (TSF) workers were arrested in Agartala during all Tripura strike. The strike brought mixed response although failed to bring any impact in the township. The activists in Agartala set fire on tires by blocking road. Later, police arrested all activists. The 12 hrs strike has been declared by Twipra Students' Federation (TSF) on Monday, that is 28th August statewide.
TSF said, for last 50 years TSF has been demanding Roman script for Kokborok language but the Govt did not respond. “We gave two months ultimatum to the Govt to take our demand to the higher level but seems the Govt has put a deaf and blind notion towards our demands".
"Also we demanded 125 amendment bill to be placed in the parliament but no outcome yet. We are not begging our demands, we are demanding our rights”, said TSF.
