AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): Amid model-state claims by Ministers, Govt schools still run dry due to shortage of teachers. The crisis is being reported amid thousands of qualified candidates who are unable to get jobs due to slow recruitment, low numbers of TET exams. Students of Kusharghat Uchaibari High School Blocked road in Muhuripur. They said, only four teachers were present on the day and after fourth period also, no class was taken. Some teachers took the attendance and no class was taken.
In primary school only one teacher was appointed.
Protesting the crisis situation, the students blocked road.
Talking to the students, one of the students said, “Everytime an official visits, we complain about our condition and they also promise that our problems will be solved but ultimately, no problem is solved. The teachers' crisis problem remained as it is. Our half-yearly examination is approaching ahead but syllabus was not completed”.
