AGARTALA, Aug 13 (TIWN): Amid Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s vision on making Tripura into a Medical Hub in the coming years but the infrastructure continues to raise question over the quality. A pipe factory worker named Shalik Hossain who was electrified has died during referral from Bishalgarh to GB Hospital. According to family members, the ambulance that was provided by the Bishalgarh hospital lacked Oxygen causing death of the patient. The family members also expressed dissatisfaction over the treatment at Bishalgarh hospital. As soon as the patient was taken to GB, he was declared dead.
The deceased has left his two kids wife behind.
It was also alleged, minimum treatment was not provided at Bishalgarh hospital and directly referred to GB Hospital.
The incident happened on the same day, when Chief Minister Manik Saha has talked about improving Districtwise health services to reduce the pressure on the state’s main hospital.
