AGARTALA, Aug 13 (TIWN): Laying stress upon Govt’s intention to raise the volume of hospital staff, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday while addressing a blood donation camp said that Govt of Tripura is now setting a goal to turn Tripura into a medical hub and that’s the cause why the Govt has decided to increase the seat numbers for Medical studies and post graduation studies. “Rs. 59 Crores budget was initiated which was a courageous step. I have inaugurated Nursing college recently. Specialists Doctors’ numbers and seat numbers for education also were increased. In TMC, Dental Colleges also seats were raised” said CM.
“Under Ayushman Bharat project when 13 lakhs cards were already given, more 4.75 lakhs coverage was completed under CM Jana Arogya Yojna. 100 subcenters started by this Govt and at each District 50 bedded rehabilitation centers started which was only 1 in Tripura earlier in Narshingrah. We are working to start at least trauma Center in each District. With all these, I am sure the pressure on State main hospital will decrease and the State will emerge as a Medical Hub”, CM said.
