AGARTALA, July 15 (TIWN): The Kumarghat tragedy that caused at least 6 deaths and many injured have not ended up with its tragic story as many patients are still fighting with life in GB Hospital and many are yet to overcome their pains. However, Tripura Govt has taken all responsibilities for the injured persons and decided that three of them who are serious should be sent to Delhi for further treatment. Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday met the injured persons at the GB Hospital.
Talking to media, CM Manik Saha said that he will take all measures that are required for the better treatment of the patients.
CM said, “Delhi Doctors are satisfied with the treatment but still for our satisfaction and families’ wish, we have decided not to take any risk and so three of the patients will be sent to Delhi”.
On July 27, in Kumarghat during Rath-jatra a high voltage wire had fallen upon the devotees causing deaths and injuries. Govt has sought a detailed report on this incident to find out the loopholes.
