AGARTALA, January 26 (TIWN): “Corruption is the weapon to retain the powerâ€, remarked the Leader of Opposition (LoP) Sudip Roy Barman, while speaking on the reasons or circumstance of the inactivity in taking effective measures to put an end to the ceaseless corruption all over the state, at the initiative of the left cadres and patronisers of them.
In an exclusive talk to this correspondent the Opposition Leader has said: “As they (left government) have a clear and commanding majority we know they will not signify our words or issues but we will succumb to them and put every possible pressure so that they act against the corrupt ones.” The winter session of the assembly is going to start next February 6 onwards.
And this time, the opposition has not only number of rock solid subjects to nullify the government but also the authority itself acknowledged the wrongdoings of its peers.
