AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN): The oxygen plant in Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital has been broken for almost a year. No initiatives are being taken by the sub-divisional health officer and the concerned department to fix it. According to a reliable source in the Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital, the newly constructed oxygen plant, which had been constructed at a cost of lakhs of rupees for almost a year, broke down. When Chief Medical Officer Chandan Debbarma was asked about this, he first tried to avoid this issue in front of the reporters. However, later, he admitted that he had informed the higher authorities about the failure of the oxygen plant. It is very regrettable that the higher authorities of Health and Family Welfare Department are not taking initiative to renovate the damaged oxygen plant.
